Sera Eden, a garden built around a former greenhouse
Sera Eden is located at 37 C.A. Rosetti Street, in the historic garden of Casa Brătienilor. The restaurant was created around the property’s former greenhouse, preserving the connection between the architecture of the old house and the surrounding greenery.
The garden does not reveal itself immediately from the street. Beyond the entrance, tables appear among trees and plants, arranged around the transparent structure of the greenhouse. The centre of Bucharest remains close, but the noise of its busy boulevards feels much farther away.
The internationally inspired menu is suitable for both lunch and dinner, complemented by cocktails and seasonal drinks. Sera Eden is a lovely choice for a meal for two, a gathering with friends or dinner at the end of a day spent exploring the city.
Of the two Rezident locations, Sera Eden is closer to Rezident Bălcescu, although it can also be easily included in a walk from Rezident Eminescu. The route takes you through the Grădina Icoanei area and along the streets lined with old houses between Piața Romană and C.A. Rosetti Street.
Grădina Povernei, a hidden courtyard in central Bucharest
Grădina Povernei is located at 22 Povernei Street, between Piața Romană and Piața Victoriei. The restaurant occupies an old house, with indoor rooms inspired by the four seasons and a leafy garden tucked away from the street.
While Sera Eden stands out through the architecture of its former greenhouse and its spectacular setting, Grădina Povernei has the more intimate atmosphere of an old Bucharest home. The courtyard is equally suited to a quiet lunch or a dinner that continues late into the evening.
The menu includes appetisers, salads, pasta, risotto, pizza, fish, seafood and meat dishes, as well as desserts. Its variety makes it a good choice for families or groups of friends when everyone is in the mood for something different.
Grădina Povernei is closer to Rezident Eminescu and can be discovered during a walk towards Piața Victoriei, along the quiet streets surrounding Piața Romană. From Rezident Bălcescu, it can be reached on foot by continuing through the city centre or with a short drive.

Approximately 40 minutes from Rezident Corbu, Histria Fortress preserves the remains of the first recorded city on the territory of present-day Romania. Located near Lake Sinoe, the archaeological site can be explored on a half-day trip, whether you are staying in Corbu, Constanța or Eforie.
14 Centuries of History on the shores of the Black Sea
Histria was founded in the 7th century BC by Greek colonists from Miletus and remained inhabited for approximately 14 centuries. The city passed through Greek, Roman and Roman-Byzantine periods, traces of which can still be seen today.
In Antiquity, Histria stood on the shore of the Black Sea, beside a gulf that gradually became present-day Lake Sinoe as the geography of the area changed. Its location turned the city into an important trading centre, with a harbour, temples, public spaces, homes and workshops.
The site was identified in 1868 by French archaeologist Ernest Desjardins, while systematic archaeological research began in 1914 under the direction of Vasile Pârvan. Excavations continue to this day, and some of the artefacts discovered here are displayed in the site’s museum.
What to see at Histria Fortress
Your visit can begin at the museum, where you will find amphorae, pottery, inscriptions, glass objects, jewellery and bas-reliefs uncovered during archaeological excavations.
The route then continues outdoors, through the remains of the ancient city. You can see its fortifications and gates, the temples of the sacred area, the Roman baths, basilicas and traces of former homes. The landscape adds another dimension to the experience, with the ruins overlooking Lake Sinoe, where the ancient gulf once stood.
Allow approximately two hours to visit the museum and explore the outdoor site. During summer, it is best to arrive in the morning or towards the end of the afternoon, as there is little shade along the route. Water, sun protection and comfortable footwear are recommended.
Opening hours
Histria Fortress can be visited throughout the year. During the summer season, from 1 May to 30 September, the Histria Museum Complex is open daily from 09:00 to 19:00. During the off-season, it is open from 09:00 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:30.

Getting there from Rezident locations
The drive from Rezident Corbu to Histria Fortress takes approximately 40 minutes. You can plan your visit for the first part of the day, then return to Corbu for the rest of the afternoon.
From Rezident Tomis Marina, the journey takes approximately one hour. From the Rezident locations in Eforie, allow around one hour and 20–30 minutes. Travel times may vary depending on traffic, particularly during summer weekends.

Rafia Studio is a good place to stop whether you are looking for a gift or choosing something for yourself. It might be a pair of earrings, an illustration or a design object you would buy even if you were not on holiday. Instead of mass-produced souvenirs, you will find pieces that reflect contemporary Romanian creativity.
Rafia Studio is approximately a two-minute walk from Rezident Tomis Marina. The route leads up towards Ovidiu Square, and a visit to the shop can be included in a walk continuing to the Carol I Mosque, the House with Lions or the Constanța Casino.

Bric-a-Brac, timeless objects for the home
A few minutes from Ovidiu Square, at 8C Remus Opreanu Street, Bric-a-Brac brings together objects for the home selected for their usefulness, materials and the way they age over time. The shop’s concept centres on well-made everyday objects sourced from Romania and other European countries.
On its shelves, you will find Romanian ceramics, enamelware, recycled-glass objects, wooden brushes and utensils, baskets, textiles, candles and other pieces for the kitchen and home. They are simple objects, often difficult to find in conventional shops, chosen to be used for many years.
Bric-a-Brac also offers a different perspective on the idea of a souvenir. Instead of a purely decorative object, you might return home with an enamel mug, a woven basket, a ceramic piece or something you will use every day. It will remind you of Constanța precisely because it will become a natural part of your home.
The shop is approximately a seven-minute walk from Rezident Tomis Marina. From here, you can continue towards the Casino, the Genoese Lighthouse and the seafront or return to Tomis Marina for lunch or dinner.

A Walk from Rezident Tomis Marina
The location of Rezident Tomis Marina makes it easy to discover both shops during the same outing. You can begin at Rafia Studio in Ovidiu Square, then walk for a few more minutes to Bric-a-Brac. The route passes through the city’s historic district and can easily be combined with the peninsula’s main landmarks.
Guests staying here do not need a car. Rafia Studio is approximately a two-minute walk away, while Bric-a-Brac is around seven minutes away. The distances are short enough for both stops to remain part of your walk rather than become a separate plan.
After shopping, you can continue towards the Casino and the seafront or head down to Tomis Marina. The entire route can be explored on foot, one of the advantages of staying at Rezident Tomis Marina.
Travel times from Rezident’s Eforie and Corbu locations
Rafia Studio and Bric-a-Brac can also be included in a day spent in Constanța by guests staying at Rezident’s other seaside locations.
From Rezident Eforie Nord and Rezident Villa Eforie 1, 2&3, the drive to Constanța’s historic peninsula takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
From Rezident Corbu, allow approximately 35–40 minutes by car to reach Constanța’s Old Town, depending on the route and traffic conditions.
Once you arrive in the peninsula, the easiest way to explore is on foot. Rafia Studio, Bric-a-Brac, Ovidiu Square, the Constanța Casino and Tomis Marina are all close enough to be included in a leisurely walk.

At the beginning of the summer season, Eforie starts to change. More people arrive, terraces reopen, and the resort slowly regains the energy it is known for.
And yet, some things do not change with the season.
At Capul Turcului, in Eforie Sud, the swans return every year from September until May. They do not appear only when the weather gets warmer, nor do they leave with the first cold days, because this gulf, sheltered from the wind and calmer than the rest of the shoreline, offers them stable conditions and enough food.
You first notice them from a distance, then closer and closer. There are many of them, gathering in groups and approaching the shore without fear, already used to the people who stop to watch or photograph them.
